To give you a hint,
the overarching theme can be found by turning it counterclockwise on its side.
Then you look at it's fin, in the shape of a heart.
The overarching theme: love.
The fish keeps a multitude of secrets, hidden in plain sight.
Silhouettes of a woman and a man (the two lovers) facing each other
between them, gently floating, the tail fin guiding the fish at a calculated speed.
The lovers are placed directly opposing each other, hinting at their indifference.
They're in a loving relationship u as made clear by them directly gazing in each others eyes.
A moment before sharing a kiss.
Or are they looking at each other one last time before their paths diverge?
Preserving the other in their memory, with one last stare.
'there are more fish in the sea',
What else is there to see?
Left broken, the fishing rod with bait on its hook. It was held out by someone, for a long time, patiently waiting to lure a fish... but it'll never catch a thing.
Not a single fish to be caught. But the one unique looking fish right here swam up to your lure. Do not be mistaken, it swam here only for the bait, it's not looking to be caught. Just to satisfy itself.
Your faith in the bait will diminish, sink to the bottom - as will the hook... All while the fish swims away with your bait. And you'll be left alone, nothing left to offer, no matter how long you wait. Time is not the solution. Please fix your fishing rod, it was your favourite right?
Your most prized possession has been taken away, be it your passions, your dreams, your confidence, tainted with uncertainty. The fish will take this ghostly looking worm, representing your spirit.
While the worm might signify your spirit or person to you,
to the fish it is what lured them in: a vague thing. Blurry.
Interesting, yet unclear as one's personality is to another on the first acquaintance.
Vague or not, the fish was lured in,
Imagine you are the lure, a worm, placed
in a vulnerable position: you're about to be consumed whole.
The background goes from dark to light, but not in a natural way. Something's off, light isn't found above and darkness isn't placed below, as you would normally observe underwater. So the transition from light to dark seems to be incorrect, however... remember the silhouettes I mentioned? A man on the left of the tail fin, a woman on the right? The young lady is bathed in light, her floating hair almost radiating a soft white shine. Her being lighter and lighter colours being associated with qualities such as innocence, purity, goodness, perfection, a new beginning and virginity it might be that these qualities are hers.
The man opposing her, on the left side, longingly returning her gaze, is
depicted in the dark. He's in a dark place, looking for the light. Perhaps he feels alone, misunderstood, victimizing himself. Her light reflects on his face
(Her positivity, joy or passion), will her influence be of a good nature? Or become a final blow to a crippling existence?
Or are these appearances deceiving? As your arguments are being dismissed by a red herring. You're losing your facts.
One final note.
The fish itself is an ornamental fish, an ornamental fish is always only present for one thing: their appearance. The way they look is the sole reason to purchase one, it seems.
Ornamental fish are often spoiled by their owners, they are taken care of excessively well. They can often be found in luxurious aquariums, unharmed and carefree.
Clumsy too.
But this is seen as an endearing quality. They may look very elegant and unique, but on the inside they are no different than any other fish.
Fish do not taste better by their looks, know your fish.
Deceive yourself with this beauty.
